                              Microsoft Announces New Accelerator To Help Indian SaaS Start-ups

Microsoft has been playing an important role in accelerating the growth of start-up ecosystem in the country with its innovative programs aimed at empowering start-ups in India. The tech giant on Monday announced another such initiative under which Microsoft has promised $100,000 each to 100 B2B SaaS start-ups in the country. The 100X100X100 program as it is called by Microsoft will bring together 100 SaaS start-ups with enterprise-ready solutions and 100 companies that will offer $100,000 each for these start-ups over a period of 18 months, helping them explore new business opportunities.                                       

“India has one of the largest B2B SaaS startup ecosystems in the world, and it’s growing exponentially. This initiative will help build scale and create amazing opportunities for start-ups. Businesses can now fast-track their digital journeys through easy adoption of enterprise-grade solutions. We’re excited to see the outcomes of these partnerships,” said Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India.                                   

B2B Start-ups with Enterprise-ready Solutions to Get a Boost     

The 100X100X100 program is launched as a part of Microsoft’s wider program ‘Microsoft for Startups’ that provides sales, marketing and technical support for qualified start-ups across the world. This new 100X100X100 initiative will help businesses accelerate their digital transformation by the adoption of SaaS solutions from start-ups with a proven track record.  The program will also create better domestic market for the Indian B2B SaaS start-ups in the country by helping them increase their revenue and customer base. More than 50 start-ups have already registered for the program at launch. These start-ups will get access to regular speed-contracting sessions with prospective customers at Microsoft industry and customer events that will help them increase their revenue sources by showcasing their skills on bigger platforms. The program is open to Microsoft co-sell enabled start-ups that are associated with the company. This program will be conducted with the support of Microsoft partner ecosystem and industry associations including TiE Delhi and Mumbai.       

Microsoft also recently opened its third Indian Development Centre in NCR-Delhi that will help to drive innovation in the Indian IT domain as a part of its expansion plans in the country. These developments took place prior to the company CEO Satya Nadella’s 3-day visit to the county.
